Google finally announced the long-rumored (and often-leaked) Pixel 4a smartphone Monday. While the new mid-range handset shared the stage with its more powerful Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G counterparts, we still don’t much about either of those phones (including release dates). Right now, it’s the Pixel 4a’s time to shine.
The 128GB Pixel 4a will release on August 20th and cost only $349—much cheaper than your average smartphone. Early reviews are positive, with many outlets citing the Pixel 4a’s excellent camera, streamlined features, and respectable mid-range specs as the phone’s biggest strengths.
If you’re looking to get a new Android smartphone without spending over a grand on the latest high-end models, the Pixel 4a might be your best option. (And if you’re interested in the $499 Pixel 4a 5G version, you can sign up for updates via the Google Store).
Here’s a quick look at all the deals we’ve found so far for the Pixel 4a. Note that these deals are all valid at the time of writing, but availability is subject to change. Also, new Pixel 4a preorder deals may be announced from other retailers between now and the August 20th release date.
Amazon’s deals are the simplest, but Amazon’s Trade-In program lets you turn in your old smartphones (and tons of other devices and items) for store credit to knock the price down.

Google Store’s Pixel 4a pre-order prices aren’t as aggressive as other retailers, but has some nice perks for Google die-hards. All Google Store preorders get 3-month free trials of YouTube Premium, Google One, and Google Play Pass. If you already have an active Google One membership, you’ll get a small kickback in Google Store credit worth a percentage of your purchase price. The credit depends on which Google One subscription you have:
- Google One members on the 200GB plans will get 3% back in Google Store credit.
- Google One members on the 2TB plan or higher get 10% back in Google Store credit.
Note: The store credit kickback is only available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia. Excludes Google One trial memberships.
Carrier: US Cellular ($350)
You can get $350 in bill credits (applied piecemeal each month) when you buy a Pixel 4a and sign up for a US Cellular unlimited plan. US Cellular preorders open on August 5th.
